Keynote: Once Upon a Time: The Magic of Storytelling in Sustainability Reporting

This session will look at the power of storytelling to transform your Sustainability Reporting. We will examine storytelling examples from a range of company reports, with a focus on the Food & Bev Sector, and show how well-crafted stories help engage your readers, enhance credibility and make your report memorable. We will also consider the potential of poorly selected or poorly written stories to erode the credibility of your report. The session will explore the magical ingredients of great stories, what makes them work and how to discover the stories that are most appropriate for your sustainability narrative. Finally, we’ll discuss the added value of stories beyond reports and how to leverage them in other communication channels.

Building an integrated Sustainability strategy with a long-term value focus on not just reaching targets but moving years ahead in your sector is at the core of sustainability DNA embedding. But how do you start? Defining what the organization stands for, cultivating a deeper connection to nature internally, setting meaningful goals or the best-practice transfer between brands and regions are all just the beginning.
